Bring Light Coaching

Reasons for Coaching

People seek out a coach for a variety of reasons. Perhaps you’re sensing a shifting vocation, feel stuck in a cycle of behaviors or thoughts, or you want to imagine a future more aligned with your values–these are all excellent reasons to start seeing a coach. Maybe you need another set of eyes on a particular project or are re-establishing a forgotten pursuit.

Coaching is for people who need a thought partner who listens well, mirrors back the values, passions, and possibilities of the client, and assists in forming workable next steps.

Sample Session

A session, whether 30 minutes or an hour, starts by clarifying the purpose(s) of the day’s session. Once clarity is gained on your current priority, the session moves into conversation and questions. Toward the closing of the session, next steps or a desired forward movement are mapped out. These might be tangible actions or a clarity of thought you want to hold moving forward.

Coaching Style

David Augsburger says that “being heard is so close to being loved that, for the average person, they are almost indistinguishable.” Jenelle loves hearing people’s stories, ideas, edges, and possibilities. It’s one of the ways she loves this world. In a coaching session she maps out a space for intentional listening, good question asking, and pockets of possible forward movement.

Certification

Jenelle is currently training for her full International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certification with the organization Loaves and Fishes. She is also a beneficiary of many years of excellent coaching.
